Scenes from Accent at Jambo Africa, November 17th

It was a packed house at Jambo Africa on Sunday, November 17th. IBe Kaba brought together artists from across many different cultures in the Twin Cities to support the first restaurant to merge West African and East African cuisine. And it was amazing.

During that time, I discovered that the owner, Jojo is married to a Lao woman, so there's a great cross-cultural connection there. Excellent food, great company, amazing, riveting performances. Jojo hopes the restaurant will become a popular community space where people feel comfortable bringing in artistic performances and cultural events. If Sunday was any indication, it will be a great place for years to come.

If you get a chance to, check them out!
