Science Fiction Poetry Grand Master Nominations due January 1st

In the 38 year history of the Science Fiction Poetry Association (SFPA), we have recognized six Grand Masters of Science Fiction Poetry among our international membership: Bruce Boston, Robert Frazier, Ray Bradbury, Jane Yolen, Steve Sneyd, and Marge Simon.

As the President of the Science Fiction Poetry Association, I remind my fellow members that nominations are still being accepted until January 1st, upon which they will be reviewed for formal consideration for induction in 2017.

The criteria is extensive. They must have been actively publishing within the target genres of Science Fiction and Fantasy for a period of no fewer than 20 years, and their poetry must be noted as exceptional in merit, scope, vision and innovation.

Candidates may be from any of the six populated continents, and must be demonstrably living, and presumably mostly human. Nominators must be active members of the Science Fiction Poetry Association. The full guidelines and process can be found here: http://www.sfpoetry.com/grandmasters.html
