[Roadtrip] Tank Museum and Monkey World!

Added to my bucket list of things to do, the world famous Tank Museum and Monkey World found in Bovington, Dorset, England. Which seems like it might be a recipe for disaster, but the residents have been making a smashing go at it for quite some time, it seems.

Monkey World "assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild. At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated into natural living groups."

As for Tank World, their "exhibitions tell the story of armoured warfare from World War One to the present day. As you explore the Museum's six large halls you will come face to face with vehicles that have seen action in all the major wars of the 20th Century and hear first-hand accounts from those who fought in them. This unique collection of over 300 vehicles is regarded as the best in the world and includes the world's first ever tank - Little Willie, the feared German Tiger tank and the modern Challenger 2."

The Tank Museum is open daily from 10am - 5.00pm. The Museum is closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The Museum is open as usual from 10am to 5pm on Bank Holidays. There is a Free Annual Pass included in your entry fee that entitles you to return to The Tank Museum as many times as you like - for a year, excluding Special Event Days. Admission for Adults is £13.00, and Children (5-16) get in for £7.50. Depending on how the exchange rate is going, that's approximately $16 and $9, respectively. The Tank Museum is situated in South Dorset, and is clearly signposted from Dorchester, Blandford, Poole, Bere Regis and Wool.

Monkey World is open every day, (except Christmas Day) 10am to 5pm. The  hours extend to10am to 6pm during July and August. Last Entry is one hour before closing, so be there by at least 4pm. An adult entry is £11.75, while most other tickets are £8.50, or $14 and $10 each. Monkey World is situated on the A31 Between Bere Regis and Wool in Dorset.

So, if you've got about $30 and a day, you can fit both in, depending on the weather and other joys of travel! And if the producers behind War for the Planet of the Apes doesn't do a tie-in with both of them such as a giant outdoor screening halfway, it will be patently criminal, I tell you.
