The Maidens of Sivilay

Here, then, your mouth a chamber
Of earth, of brass, of lead and smoke.
Your hair is made of silenced poets!

Those lips of adamant tenderness
Unrelenting

It's from the mysterious Xieng Khuan spirit city built by a 'mad monk' near Vientiane, Laos. There's quite a a story behind it all, but this particular one is supposed to be an allegory of going through hell to get to the tree of enlightenment...
