One of the things I was happy about regarding the cover of On The Other Side Of The Eye was being given permission to include a traditional nak from Laos. Not only that, but it was also the nak from my family's wat in Modesto, making it the first time a Lao American nak has appeared on the cover of a book by a Lao American.
